【Notes】

• This course is jointly offered by National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education. Enrollment is limited to full-time English Teaching Fellows (ETFs) from the MOE’s English Teaching Flagship Scholarship Program and English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) from the Taiwan Foreign English Teachers Program (TFETP).
• Before registering and making payment, participants must confirm their eligibility. The institution reserves the right to cancel and refund registrations that do not meet the eligibility criteria. No discounts are available for this course.

3. 凡 TESOL 學員完成課程並通過評量者可獲得「臺師大進修推廣學院 Advanced TESOL Certificate Program 英語教學證照專班 結業證明書」。

【Course Features】

1. This certification program integrates practical training and synchronous online instruction, providing  participants with solid and professional teaching preparation.

3. Participants who complete the TESOL program and pass all required assessments will receive a Certificate of Completion for the  Advanced TESOL Certificate Program issued by the School of Continuing Education, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).

2. 實體互動教學課程 (共40 小時) -  高雄中山高中 (高雄市楠梓區藍昌路416號) 

【Course Description】Total Hours: 120 hours

1. Online Instruction (80 hours)  - Synchronous sessions via Google Meet
2. On-site Instruction (40 hours) – Held on the Kaohsiung Municipal Chungshan Senior High School .

【考核說明】

1. 出缺勤規定：

• 線上課程出席不得低於68小時(最多請假12小時)
• 實體課程出席不得低於34小時(最多請假6小時）
• 線上須全程開啟視訊鏡頭，遲到15分鐘則算缺課1小時。
• 不論何種假別都算缺席，因處理學校公務的請假，也「會」計入缺課時數。

2. 作業繳交：上課期間須按授課教師規定依時限繳交作業。
3. 考核：須通過實體試教考核。

【Assessment Criteria】

1. Attendance Requirements: 

• Online: Minimum attendance of 68 hours required (maximum of 12 hours of leave permitted).
• On-site: Minimum attendance of 34 hours required (maximum of 6 hours of leave permitted).
• Cameras must remain on during all online sessions. Being more than 15 minutes late will be counted as one hour of absence.
• All types of leave will be counted as absent, including leave for school duties.

2.   Assignment Submission:

•  Assignments must be submitted on time according to the instructors' requirements during the course.   

3.  Evaluation:

• Participants must pass an on-site teaching demonstration assessment.

• Participants: Full-time English Teaching Fellows (ETFs) and Full-time English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) recruited through the MOE's English Teaching Flagship Scholarship Program and Taiwan Foreign English Teachers Program (TFETP).

Instructors: Professional faculty members from the Department of English, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).

【重要注意事項】

3. 未開班退費、因個人因素申請退費，本院辦理學員退費入帳所需時間約4週。
4. 需完成註冊及繳費才視為報名成功。未完成繳費者視同未報名成功，不保留名額。
5. 若該班「額滿」，而您尚未繳費，則請勿繳費，若您誤繳學費則為您辦理全額退費或轉班。
6. 課程不提供旁聽服務，一經報名亦不得轉讓他人。
7. 敬請留意報名課程之開課日期及上課時間，正常開課情形下，本院於各課程開課日前，會以簡訊發送開課通知提醒上課學員，亦可主動來電詢問，恕無法因未收到簡訊通知要求退費或補課。
8. 個人因素無法上課或插班加入課程，無法提供補課服務。
9. 為尊重著作權，上課不得錄音錄影。
10. 依「教育部國民及學前教育署補助國民中小學推動英語教學實施要點」規定，TFETP計畫之全時教學助理取得前開課程結業證書後，得於聘僱期間持收據及相關佐證資料向所聘學校申請經費補助。至美籍英語教學人員獎學金計畫之全時教學助理，則請洽學術交流基金會。
11. 符合下列資格且取得旨揭課程結業證書之全時助理，得於TFETP計畫網站(https://tfetp.k12ea.gov.tw/)提交相關資料，並於下一學年度申請擔任TFETP計畫之外籍英語教師；另依據「各級學校申請外國教師聘僱許可及管理辦法」規定，外籍英語教師須符合下開資格

• 護照國籍之官方語言或通行語言為英語，各國之官方語言或通行語言依外交部認定。
• 已取得獲認可之大學或獨立學院學士學位或更高學歷。獲認可之大學或獨立學院名單以教育部外國大學校院參考名冊查詢系統所列校院  為限。
• 於主管機關採認之國外學校教授英語文課程一年以上，或由主管機關引進於國內公立學校全時擔任英語文課程協同教學之教學助理人員1年以上。

【Important Notes】

3. For class cancellations or personal refund requests, the processing time is approximately 4 weeks.
    
4.  Registration is only confirmed upon completion of both the registration form and payment. Failure to complete payment will result in the forfeiture of your spot.
5.  If the class is full and you have not yet paid, please do not proceed with payment. If payment is made by mistake, a full refund or transfer to another class will be arranged.
6. Auditing is not permitted. Registration is non-transferable.
7. Please take note of the class start date and time. Under normal circumstances, NTNU will send a reminder via text message before the course begins. However, not receiving a reminder is not grounds for a refund or make-up class. You are encouraged to call and confirm the schedule if needed.
8. Make-up classes will not be provided for personal absences or for students joining the course late.
9. To respect intellectual property rights, audio and video recording during class is strictly prohibited.
10. In accordance with the Implementation Directions for the Ministry of Education K-12 Education Administration Subsidies for Promoting English Teaching and Learning in Elementary and Junior High Schools（教育部國民及學前教育署補助國民中小學推動英語教學實施要點）, full-time English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) from the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program (TFETP) who have obtained the course completion certificate may apply for reimbursement from their assigned school during their employment period by submitting receipts and relevant supporting documents. English Teaching Fellows (ETFs) from the MOE’s English Teaching Flagship Scholarship Program, introduced by the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan), are advised to contact the Foundation directly regarding reimbursement-related matters.
11. Full-time foreign English teaching assistants who meet the following qualifications and have obtained the completion certificate for the TESOL course may submit the required documents through the TFETP website (https://tfetp.k12ea.gov.tw/) and apply to serve as foreign English teachers under the TFETP in the following academic year

• In accordance with the Regulations Governing Educational Institutions at All levels Applying for approved employment for Foreign Teachers and Their Administration（各級學校申請外國教師聘僱許可及管理辦法）, foreign nationals participating in the TFETP and teaching English in K–12 schools in Taiwan must meet the following qualifications:
• 1.The applicant must be a passport holder of a country where English is an official or commonly used language, as recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
  2.The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university or independent college. The list of accredited institutions shall be based on the Ministry of Education’s Reference List of Foreign Universities.
  3.The applicant must have either (1) taught English courses for at least one year in a foreign school recognized by the competent authority, or (2) served as a full-time English teaching assistant in a public school in Taiwan under a government-sponsored program for at least one year.
